    Cordless Impact Wrench

I'm wanting a cordless impact wrench for Christmas. But, I plan on carrying a small compressor around for air anyway. Is the cordless impact a waste of money or worth it????? Any suggestions for the best value? Thanks, Todd

    Overheating and Blown Head Gaskets

Long post, please bear with me... I over heated twice and blew two headgaskets this weekend at Barber. The first occurred Friday during the final practice session. The car ran cool (180+/-) and well until the cool-down lap. From the cool down lap to the paddock, the temp went to 240-260. (I...

    Fuel Cell Metal Can

Not to re-hash the FIA/SFI/Rotary molded debate... If I use a fuel cell enclosed in a metal container in the hatch area of my car, does the metal can constitute a "bulkhead" or must the entire hatch area be isolated or closed-off with sheet metal? Thanks, Todd

    Fuel Cell Rule

I am at work and can't seem to pull up the GCR on-line... If I change from OE tank to a fuel cell, what are the requirements? Does the tank have to be SFI or FIA rated? My thoughts are to put a plastic cell in a metal can underneath the car with a cut-out for the fill-opening in the hatch...

    Alternator not Charging

Please help me with my OEM Alternator... I have the "charging wire" running from the post on the alternator directly to the positive battery terminal. (One-wire) The alternator does not charge, or at least the engine stops when the hot cable is disconnected. This alernatoer is brand new and...

    Longevity of ITC???

I'm just getting started. ITC seems to be a great beginning class .(slower, safer and less expensive). However, it seems that the cars are aging and there are fewer choices to replce them. How much longer do you veterans think ITC or ITB will continue? I'm already thinking of ITA, ITS or SM...

    Generator... What size?

What size genearotor do I need? I figure that my small 2hp compressor or a small air conditionerat night (6000BTU 110v) would be the biggest items I would use. Let's assume that travel space is an issue. Thanks, Todd

    Track Checklist

Does anyone have a checklist (that you'll share) of equipment and spares to carry to the track. I've started a list. It would fill up a NASCAR-sized hauler if I could carry everything. Fortunately, I don't have an 18-wheeler. I've got three categories: Essentials, Wants and Luxuries (if I...

    Spare Tire

I'm trying to lose the spare tire arpoud my waist and replace it with one in the rear of the car. Do I have to find the exact original OEM spare or will any 13" Honda wheel and tire work (reasonable) in my Honda? In the meantime, I have written the CRB to request allowances for IT and SS...

    Kool-Suit weight

Am I reading the current GCR correctly... Is the weight of the Kool-Suit not added to the minimum weight any longer? (Seems like under the old rules the minimum weight did not allow for the weight of the Kool-Suit.) Thanks, Todd
