Not all details are finnalized but MCSCC is holding a 3 hour enduro on Saturday evening June 11th at the Autobahn CC near Chicago, IL. The race should start at 5:30 PM and run until 8:30 PM. The full track will be used.
Link attached: http://www.autobahncc.com/ With a total length of just over 3.5 miles there is plenty of track space for all entries. All IT, SS, STU, STO, Touring, and SM, cars will be elligible. The list of elligible classes has not been finallized but no open wheel or sports racers need apply. An exception for SRF's may be allowed. If you're wondering if your car could be elligible contact the MCSCC Comp. Dir. at [email protected] Link to MCSCC http://www.mcscc.org/index.php
Some of the details to be finallized are entry fee and minimum number of drivers. We are looking at a minumum of 2 drivers per car. The entry fee should be in the range of $400+ per car.
There will be no practice or qualifying time as the track will be used for other activities until 5 PM. Most likely the SOM will issue a grid position based on perceived speed of the car entered. Based on prior SOP for MCSCC enduros all fueling must be done with the driver out of the car. A minimum time for a stop involving fuel and/or driver changes will most likely be set, just to keep things safe.
If at the end of the day you want to race just a bit more you can stay over until Sunday and run in another MCSCC race. This one will be the more traditional 3 session Prac./Qual./Race format. Each race will be 30 minutes.
