“TWELVE HOURS AT THE POINT”
ON SPEED THIS WEEKEND
12 Hours at the Point airs on Speed Channel
Topeka, Kan. (Dec. 4, 2003) – “Twelve Hours at the Point,” an in-depth look at the 12-hour endurance race sanctioned by the Sports Car Club of America and hosted by the SCCA Washington D.C. Region at Summit Point Raceway in Summit Point, W.Va., will be broadcast on SPEED Channel at 8 p.m. (EST) Saturday, Dec. 6.
The show peeks inside the fifth annual running of the event (originally run May 30, 2003) and follows teams and drivers as they prepare for and compete in one of the premier endurance races in America.
The Kumho Twelve Hours at the Point event is open to sedans and sports cars and features 12 SCCA Club Racing National classes plus three additional classes from the D.C. region.
Summit Point Raceway is a 10-turn, two-mile, asphalt road course that is located in the Shenandoah Valley, approximately 70 miles from the Washington D.C. and Baltimore metropolitan areas.
