HELP, we have 2 Ford Escort GT's, 91 & 95, that have either shot or limited suspension. We are in the SCCA ITA div. Both are too soft to actually work properly on track. We are trying to locate a suspension system that will work and there are very few if any options. Tokico and GC coilovers seem to be not up to the task. The other car has very old and no longer working Mazada speed struts. Mazadaspeed no longer has a replacement and will not talk to us about parts because even thought the entire suspension, drivetrain and engine are Mazada the car is a Ford. Koni has a strut insert but I have no experience with strut inserts and do not know if they will actually work or even how to install them. Does anyone have a clue what direction we should go????

Call Lee Grimes at Koni Motorsports. If they make them for a Saturn, they sure as hell will make them for an Escort!!

If you need fab work on the shock bodies, let me know.

We have purchased 2 sets of KYB OEM struts. We will send these to True Choice Racing so they can install the Koni inserts. I really appreciate the offer of working the strut bodies for us but I thought at this time of year putting the responsability of rebuilding 8 struts for someone else is a bit much to ask. The guys at Koni were full of info and a great help. Thanks again!!
