97 Prelude classified in ITS

per the GCR the 325 is 2850. The Prelude per Fast Track will have a minimum of 2905. The Prelude has a few extra hp over the 325 however.

last year at an EMRA race at summit point, i ran against a 97 prelude. not sure whether it was a type sh or not.

with a speedsource rx7 we were about 1.5 sec a lap faster. during the race the driver did make a pass and held on to win.

on the straights the car was a dead even match to our rx7. the prelude was better out of turn one with its better torque. yet it was slower entering corners, especially the carosel portion.

was the car legal? not sure. EMRA at times looks the other way when it comes to enforcing them. for example, they don't weigh cars on scales afterwards. but overall it was a very good race, we both gave each other "racing room" and at the end greeted each other with a smurk on our faces in the paddock.

would it be competitive right out of the box?

i believe yes it would be. will it win the arrc? maybe in a few years with development.

What is the maximum width on the rims that they are going to allow? In T2, the rims could be as large as 16 x 8. Do you think they will allow this in ITS?

What's the 94-96 VTEC weight? They are both H22 engined cars, and the 94-96 is probably lighter.

It doesn't have the ATTS, but that contraption probably would not work out that great in IT.
