HI i realy need your help im tuning bmw 325-m20 with dbilas camshaft ,e57 324/332 degree, and triple six dellorto carbs and the crank ,rods pistons all from 528 e39 b28 engins what spark plugs heatrange should i go for and which mechanical destributer should i put ?
 
hi please i need help would it be good to fit 48mm dellorto carbs on a camshaft 324/332 degree on my 325 m20 motor ? and which ignition and sparkplugs i can use ?

Hey dude, two things to keep in mind. One, sometimes responses come quicker when people use their give name. Two, if your car is a BMW you might get better response on this IT site if you posted within the BMW forum.
 
+ missing info along the lines of: "what displacement M20 (anywhere from 2.0-2.7?), what chokes in the carb bodies, what gearing & tire diameter, what RPM range you're tuning for, state of tune of the motor (compression), etc. etc. etc.

For most 2 litre motors, 48s are waaaaaaaaaay too much carb, unless you're spinning it at 8000rpm and don't really want to have any driveability below 5000rpm.

And it's not legal in IT.
 
Hi mr JOHNRW thanx for your reply im runing m20 bmw 2.8 litter with 324/332 degree camshaft. gearing 4,27.1 tire diameter 235/40/17 weight of the car 1020kg and the compression ratio 12.5 and the mechanical distrebuter 006 .and the exaust is under the door i dont know which sparkplugs i should use i was runing bosch w8lcr +4 head .
i should go for ( cold range or hot ). ?
im spining it now at 8200 im trying to do 8800rpm

Hi i really want to ask for BMW tuning motors with 12.5 compression what is the best sparkplugs heat range should i use with a 48mm carbs?

Best to err on the cold side. Hotter plugs tend to detonate with higher compression Dyno fuel and ignition first. GL
