 We have replaced our 86-88 front bumper cover(crunch at the pumpkin) with a 89-90 front bumper cover that has larger brake duct openings. Are the Brake ducts for the 89-90 actually larger to fit the cover opening? the stock catalog list a different part # for 89-90 ducts. Anyone have a gently used set of ducts or are we better off to order new from Mazda? :eclipsee_steering:

You are right, the openings are larger on the S5 bumper. I'm confused why you need any stock parts though? I assume you have the Mazdaspeed ducts pictured below, route a 3" hose to them and add an air inlet in the front. Get an inlet like the ones here: http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/group.asp?GroupID=DUCTBUMP

You can get 3" new or used hose and air inlets off ebay if you want to save a few dollars. Here's what I did, found some fancy used CF one's on ebay from a Nascar team, slight trimming and they fit just right.

Thanks Mark! parts have been ordered figure if the system keeps brakes cool in texas it will work in the frozen north! Tom weaver :eclipsee_steering:

The S5 actually has ducts that bolt in but still need mods to work. I attach the ducts to the bottom of the bumper bar (black fiberglass unit behind bumper cover) so I can pull the nose quick for working on the front. No need to remove hoses. Tom send me a pm with your contact information so I can get you splitter pictures.
