Car cover for towing?

Jack, I wouldn't bother covering it while towing. I've seen too many "Parachutes" out of covers and/or awnings. Just roll up the passenger window, and if you haven't taken out the glass on the drivers side, roll that up to.

Otherwise, treat it like you would if you were going to drive it. Attach the window net, belts, and if your going to use the inside of the car storage, just make sure everything is tied down and secure.

I make plexiglass side windows for my BMW. I used the old glass window as a template. I added some metal clips to hold the plexiglass ones in while towing/washing etc.

Jack, be carefull by what you say here. The ITCS doesn't allow you to remove the passenger side glass, only the drivers side, and only when the door bars extend into the door.

Don't want you to get into trouble down the road.

My feeling, that if the car is not underweight, what's the difference. But, you do have those folks with a burr up their backside that would protest you just for the sake of being a "jerk"

Just my $0.02 worth

Jack, a cover flapping in the wind can damage your paint. I'd say drive it with the windows open. How many of us have driven our street cars with the windows wide open while on long trips.

Thanks for all the input. I will try towing it open for the time being. I am sort of shopping for an enclosed trailer but looking for a bargain, aren't we all, LOL! Being a rookie at 47 is tough going, LOL!
God Bless

I have a door bar in my IT and removed the glass also. I made a plastic window cover for towing and storage, and highly recommend it. Towing with the windows closed, it smooths the side of the car for reduction of wind resistance...every little bit helps mileage, keeps debris out of the interior, and seals it for rain. Wouldn't be without it. Also, those prying fingers...

My opinions. Good racing. Bill
