Dakar on VS

The Dakar started yesterday and the recap is being shown at 3pm and 6:30pm daily on VS. Looks like they've gone back to using the British/European show instead of trying to do their own like last year, which focused on assmaster Robbie Gordon. It's much better this year.

Some marketing person is going to get fired before this branding effort is even mature.

:( Shakespeare said we should kill all the lawyers first, but marketing guys weren't around back then.

BTW, VS was just added to the HD lineup on Comcast in our area.

Well, OLN used to be at 608 on DirectTV, I'll see if "Versus" is there now.

Wasn't OLN owned by the same guy that started SpeedVision, before he sold it out to fox, and it morphed into that POS we have now (NASCARVision)?

If so, I also wonder if the same thing happened to OLN?
 
Well, when OLN changed names, it stayed in the same spot on the cable lineup. Probably same on sat box.

Checked last night, Dakar coverage is only available on the standard broadcast feed, not on the HD widescreen.

That sux.

Yup. 608 on DirecTV. Mr. Tivo is recording it for me daily.

Robby Gordon won stage 6. This was by the way the first American TEAM to win a stage. Robby won two stages in '05 driving one of the factory VW Touaregs, the first American to win a stage.
