December 2012 Fastrack

Hmmm...

e30 BMW 318 in ITB at 2210. If it can get there, that would be a good B car. It would be a good B car even at the heavier weight, I think.

Eric (the person who requested it) was already fast. It will be interesting to see how much faster he goes with the weight loss and what impact this stuff really has.

Aftermarket wings and splitters in Touring? The old SS will end up looking sportier than IT - what has the world come to? :D

Might be a good thing for popularity though, it has been suggested that all the wingage on the NASA cars appeals to the younger crowd.

Only T1, which was the old STO. Der Neu T-eins is a combo of the old T1 and slowed-down STO.

GA

Holy Crap!!
I completely missed that part, as it was only under the T1 heading.
Now I need to add decals to my X-mas list, along with new belts.

On the plus side, I now have two regional lap records at Daytona that will never be broken. One in BP and now STO. :)

Yup, no more "STO"...and actually, your STO is not a "regional" record, it's a class record that applies to both Regional and National racing. You are now the official-fastest STO car at Daytona "evar".

Nice to see that they finally got all the 1.8 16v VW's aligned.

I'm a little confused, this entry isn't exactly clear, re-classification into ITB with the listed spec, or correct some ITA specs?

oh, and how does the Scirocco 16V get the same weight as Golf and Jetta 16V when the Scirocco has bigger brakes?
