Diff fluid for Miata

Changing diff fluid in my ITA 94 Miata. Want to go to the lightest Red Line fluid I can get away with.

Anybody got a recommendation/bias/prejudice/horror story?

since you have a torsen, i would probably just go with Redline Shockproof, i think it's a 75-90. i think the Mobil 1 75-90 at the parts store would be fine also.

sure. redline sucks. torsen = heat and thin crappy-ass redline will burn.

motul or swepco only.

full disclosure: i was sponsored by motul last year.
i still ran swepco in the diff. 3 to 25 hour enduros only.

marcus i think you have your 1.6 and your 1.8 diffs mixed up.

torsen goes in the 1.8 and pretty much never fail. the mazdacomp clutch types blow up like an M80 on the fourth of july.

anything will burn in a 1.6 diff.

We actually burned up redline in the torsen also, 4 hours at sears point, in the rain. i didn't drive that event, but i would have to assume tire spin did it
