Im wondering? Can I by the rules, use an LX body and upgrade it with all the GT drive train? Would'nt that be upgrading within the spec line? I mean as long as I use the whole drive train..........couldn't I do that?

Doug, I'll go ahead and answer that in the affirmative. As long as it is on the same line, you can mix and match, you just can't create a new model using different models from different lines. Use an LX body and it will be fine.

Hey I have a question about the rear springs AGAIN. Sorry.
Going from bottom up, you have the springs sitting around a modified mount in the control arm right? Then you have the perches with locknuts in the top of the spring right? OK how did you work the perch to the frame?
Sorry I've asked so many times. Im just trying be sure of the best way to do it.

Did you find a car for your buddy? What kind?

Doug, the lower control arm has the spring perch flattened out a little bit to allow for the 2.5" i.d. springs. The adjustable spring perch then sits down into the top of the spring and the top of the adjustable spring perch sits in the rounded out area on the chassis. We made a round washer essentially and bolted it onto the bottom of the upper spring mount to help the top of the adjustable spring perch to stay put. I hope this gets it right for you. Win doesn't have a car yet but is still in discussion and fact finding mode. I don't know when he'll pull the trigger. He is going to borrow another friend of our's ITS RX7 to run at St. Louis and IRP this spring then he'll decide what he wants to do from there.

Joe, you are the man! You will love the Quaife, what happened to the Phantom Grip, was it not what you expected? You won't be unhappy at all with the Quaife. Lee does a great job with the diff and all I had to do was shave off a little from the stub end of the left half-shaft. I'm sure he'll walk you through the installation and whatever you need. I'm fired up, you might be able to run down the Hondas now! Talk to you later. Jon

As to the ole Phantom--well, all I can say is what an appropriate name for that product!
