Enduro ?

Don't remember (20 years) ever having an enduro on the schedule at theTurkey Trot.

There is a double (3hr?) at PBIR on 11-12,13. Pretty cool format. Last race on Sat is a 90min enduro. Throw a checker and double yellows. Grid the cars as they finish and go have dinner. Thirty minutes to work on it Sunday morning and get the green for the remaining 90min at 8am.

While I had hoped this would be a proper 3 hr event, I'm glad they are using the format with the double yellows and regridding so that we at least simulate running for 3 hrs straight as far as running order. I assume we are allowed to refuel in the 30min we can work on the cars between the night and morning session.

Entries would double if the Enduro started at 5:00 and went till 9:00.
Guys love to race in the dark.
Allow the Chumpcars, and more entries.

sorry guys, i have been gone from the central fl region for some years. last time i ran the turkey trot it was an enduro :(

In 1995 we ran a night enduro on the short course during the Turkey Trot. It was a lot of fun.

Regarding the 3 hour enduro at P.B.I.R., the 30 minutes on Sunday morning are meant to get your car ready for the next 1 1/2 hours, including fueling the cars, check tire pressures, change tires, torque wheels, check fluids, basically everything you can do in 30 minutes to make sure your car is safe to go out on the track. Being an ITA competitor and the Race Director for Florida Region, I hope to see a lot of cars for this event. I'll be out there. If you're a Florida Region member, the races this weekend count for Florida region points for both 2011 & 2012 seasons. All other drivers, this race is the 2011 finale for the TES series and will give you double points towards the TES & FES 2011 Championships. Come out and have a ball!!
