Happy new year!
So as some may know I took a nasty shunt at Mid Ohio in early October. I have the frame straigtened back out now and am looking to start to rebuild.
As a result of the hit the floor board of the gas tank buckled and bent the hard line coming from the fuel tank. When the frame pulled back the fuel lines straightened back out and are pretty close to where they started based on where the white paint is showing (the interior is painted green but used to be white).
I am concerned that the fuel lines are or may be compromised or that some seals may have been damaged as a result.
Anyone have any experience with fuel tank/line issues following a collision? What should I be looking for as far as damage is concerned and what should I replace to be on the safe side?
The car currently runs fine and I do not smell or see any fuel leaking.
Thanks!
