Hoosier ASO3s for IT?

Hey guys...

I might be able to score some "autocross" compound Hoosiers for relatively cheap. Since the CRX would be the plaform and is relatively low weight is it worth buying these?
How long could I expect them to last?

Run them in the Fall, when cold--no problem.

You would ruin them fairly quickly in a hot summer race.
