On all VWs & miatas I have built, I like to mount them to the left of the inst cluster, You can get to it & so can the workers...... the last one I did, I was running out of time and I used a engine lift out eyelet from a 16v vw.... it the thing behind the alt adjuster arm, that's bolted to the head.....It has a 3/4 hole, I welded it to the cage..... Had it done with 20 minutes to spare before Log Book Issuer showed up.....I hope the engine don't blow up, makes it difficult to remove with out it.....
