Interesting News Heard at NHIS NASCAR this weekend

I heard this weekend from some truly diehard Jr. fans that he is going to build a premier track in either No or So Carolina. It is said that it will include an oval, a road course and a motorcycle course. What has anyone heard in the road racing community of such a venture?
Also, there were many NER followers at the event who are planning on going down to LRP to watch the NARRC offs. I may have even convinced some to go to Road Atlanta to watch the ARRC... :D
It was really fun to be asked a lot of questions about the road course at NHIS and to be able to talk all about the road racing that goes on there. People were most interested.
 
Well, it's no rumor. But it's not the Carolinas. The elder Earnhardt siblings are part of a venture to build a motorsports park in south Alabama. 2 possible locations, one just outside Mobile; the other not far from Gulf Shores.
 
Too bad we couldn't get them to build one up in the Northeast somewhere. Since the demise of Bridgehampton, could you imagine a venue of this type in the lower part of NY? Or Western MA?
