IT on TV?

This came to me last nite at work.What about IT as a filler ie pre race[whatever]for some pro- series?WC open wwheel ALMS stuff like that.I could see full fields exciting racing and even 2 or more races at one time....

The way television actually works, you could assure that this could happen if you (a) funded the production and ( secured commercial sponsorship for the broadcast.

I have seen this done once before. The reason I became involved in IT racing was seeing a ProIT race during an IMSA weekend at Road Atlanta in the mid-90s. It was great race with three 240Z ITS cars going at it tooth and nail. Nothing quite like watching three cars bumper to bumper sailing up through the old "Dip".

A ProIT race will be "filler" at the upcoming Drift Atlanta weekend at Road Atlanta in April. Along with a World Challenge Touring Car invitational race.
