So what is the best offset wheels to run?

I have 3 different sets of wheels that all came with the car:

1 set welds are the lightest around 12lbs
1 set of no names heavy
1 set of no names heavier

Looking to pick up a set of 6 that are all the same, somewhere in the 11-12 lb range, just wanted to see what everyone is running. I run spacers currently with all of the wheels, there are a set of 6 used welds out there from a EP Rx7 with a 4" backspace, will they work with spacers or should I stay away

4" is already too far out to fit fenders, spacers will make it worse. Max is about 4.5 back spacing with no spacer. Most refer to it as 25MM offset.

So ideally if I got wheels in the 35 to 40mm offset and run the current spacers I have which are around 3/4 of an inch I should be good.

I just picked up Team Dynamic 15x7 +35. Just mounted some 225/45-15 Hoosiers and had to run a 5mm spacer but it's still really close to the strut.

But it's pretty tough to find "affordable" wheels in anything less than +35, most of the 5 lug wheels in 15x7 are +40. I picked these wheels up for about $135 each plus shipping. I've heard you can special order the Team Dynamics in a different offset and wait for them to be shipped over from the UK, but the +35s are in stock in the US.

Oh BTW the Team Dynamics are about 13.5lbs - 14lbs on my cheapo bathroom scale.

So where is the best place to buy Team Dynamics?

On the 15x7 5x114 they keep +35mm in the states, you can order down to +15mm, but may take 2 months. +25mm is ideal for ITS, if you can wait, I'd order +25mm and also get the color you want.

You can call TD at 909-947-0114 and they can refer you to a dealer.

What about '94 and up v6 mustang wheels. I know some guys up north ran them. They are all 15 x 7, 5 x 114.3 with a 24mm offset as far as i know. Over the years there were about 4 or 5 different versions. I know they wont be the lightest, but when I compare them to my 16.5 and 18.5lb wheels I have now they may be a good interim solution till I break down and order some TD's with a few month lead time! Oh and best of all looks like I can get 6 for free.

Also some of the Jeep wheels for cherokee and wrangler also fit the bill with 25mm offsets!

Mustang wheels work well
