A quick note to all of the mid-West IT racers that the Kettle Moraine double regional at Road America on August 25-26 has been selected as an elective event for the 2012 Cool Shirt ITNT. Supps are being finalized now, and I will post up when registration opens.
What is the ITNT you ask? A championship for IT racers that would like to compete with the best drivers in the country (or at least the Eastern half of it...) in their respective class. Competitors score points at 3 races over the season: any elective event, the IT Fest at Mid-Ohio and the ARRC at Road Atlanta. Points are earned at each event based on your finishing position and the depth of competition (similar to National points scoring system).
I can't imagine a much more fitting path to a championship than via three of the most storied tracks in North America - Mid-Ohio, Road America and Road Atlanta. (man what a cool season that would make!)
Following the ARRC the winning driver in each nationally recognized IT class will be showered with fame, recognition and contingency prizes.
You can find more information at www.itnationaltour.com
If you think this is something you want to do this year be sure to plan your entry for the IT Fest and the Kettle.
