Greg, looking for son's (Kevin) address not father (Ken). Thought someone may have Kevin's address.

Sorry to see you had a tire issue.

Woops! Didn't see the name.

You might try bouncing a message to Ken.

that sucked. I felt it starting to vibrate after 5 laps and backed off the pace to maintain the gap to try and hang on to my lead. Had my fingers crossed and thought it would last but 2 laps from the end....blooey.

Oh well.

What happened to Bill?

Bill had ZERO comfort level with the brakes. Booster going or gone. Step on the brakes with both feet & the thing didn't want to slow down.

Yeah, it made passing interesting. Good thing the engine works as a brake, too!

The vacuum booster developed a leak that was only apparent after everything was up to temperature. The brakes have been funny for a while, but the booster was a new part so I never suspected it. Oh well, next year I'll have at least 2 spares with me at all times!

Back in the good old days of OEM pads, I would lose my brakes about 10 laps into a 20 lap race at Blackhawk. My crew chief could always tell cuz my lap times would get faster by about one second

Then the brakes would 'come back' when I got down to the backing plates since the backing plates didn't fade and I went slower again.

Just goes to show you that the primary mechanical function of brakes is to slow the car down!

Of course with modern brakes there is that comfort level of knowing that the car can stop......kind of takes the fun out of it......kinda........NOT!
