looking for daily driver suggestions

I'm looking for a five seat convertible "sporty" car - front engine, RWD, fuel injected, less than 20 years old, less than 20k. Anybody know of something that fits the bill?

I know they don't exist, but think 5 seat miata and that is basically what I'd like to find. Nothing exotic, just something to take the kids out in that dad can actually enjoy driving.

E36 M3

The price has dropped big time on them. One of the best decisions I ever made to buy one. What a blast to drive.......
 
Does the E36 cab have three sets of seatbelts in the backseat?

Seat belts??? We don't need no stinkin' seat belts!!


Hmmmm, that's a good question. I think so........... I'll have to check tonight just to make sure.
 
e36 M3 would be my hands-down choice.

RWD kinda limits your choices. Other possibilities: Mini convertible; VW new beetle 'vert. Not sure if you can get the Mini under 20k, but I know you can on the VW. Don't know about 3 sets of belts, though.

Edit: Another thought - Audi A4 cab. Haven't priced used ones lately, so I don't know if it would be within your budget.
 
Mustang/Camaro/e36/A4 all have only two sets of belts in the backseat :( Unless I go back to the late 60's GM muscle, which I am beginning to believe I may have to do.

Any others?

Audi A4? borderline retired Mom.... or ga.....
60s Musclecar?/ Did they have ANY seatbelts in the rear?? (Much less 3!?)

3 belts in the rear is tough. aybe a 63 Continental convertible? Or a 70s Caddy? MAYbe some Olds 442 or GTO might...

Hey cool man, Eddie said nothing about being cool. That's your version of his request for "Sporty"........ Personally I'd have a new Jag vert if I neded a sporty cool factor. Some of us don't require a cool factor to enhance our self-esteem. :023:

My M3 has three belts. But the previous owner had done some changes to allow for a harness so maybe it was a result of that??
