Unfortunately Scott did not make it because of trouble with his tow vehicle. He would surely have won, Bud, as I had major braking issues and raced with mostly just rear brakes. I did finish the race though, after some scary moments. One car class is no fun, I hope many show up for topeka.

So Matt did the Master Cly fail or are you having issues with the prop valve? Pretty decent lap times for not having front brakes.

Yep - the van is going to Midway Ford tonight. It is pinging under load - which is not at all normal for it. So I stayed home because the last thing I need is a V10 with self ejecting spark plugs. This has just not been my year.

Thanks for the compliment Scott. The pedal was soft the entire time and I am not sure what the cause was but it happened because I replaced the pads. I pushed the piston back to fit the new pads and did not open the system. After I attempted to bed the pads in qual for 8 laps I pulled off and bled the system but not change. The rears were locking and I spun 2 times in the race. I will rebuild the calipers and master and see what happens. I want it to be ready for topeka.

Had fun in VW-ville too. Six of us, seven total ITB cars.
I think everyone of us (except maybe Mr Albin) had at least one serious problem during the event that kept us from having a perfect weekend.
I know I was towed off the track twice! I hate it when those guys know you on a first name basis!:D
But the racin' felt soooo good after so much time off!

Hope everyone enjoyed Friday night's grillin'. We shucked 15 dozen ears of corn for Saturday night after the meal was done. :026:

Hey Dave, Congrats on your third place. Also your lap times are becoming impressive. See you next year and we can take up where we left off.

Thanks for the congrats, but I did need a little "assist" to work up that far.

Better luck to you in Topeka. Still wish I could be there.

I was working at turn 1 on Sunday and I have to say I was impressed with your spin there in the race. How you managed to spin in the middle of the track in the brake zone/turn in for turn one right in front of three cars and drive away without any body damage astounded me. Did you get those three a beer afterwards for their very nice bit of evasive driving?

I do feel stupid for trying to go into traffic with the issues I was having. I don't know who those 3 are that avoided me but I really appreciate it. I am sure they were glad to get around me and never see me again. Embarrassed really, but it is done and I can take something from that experience.
