MARRS 7 Photos

Nice pics - I like that they're grouped by both run group AND car number - it makes finding pictures of the General Li in action much easier.

As if anyone wants to look at pictures of that car. :P

Thomas,
Nice pictures of the Wreck7/ ITC race. Will you posting the pictures of the rollover in one or are you saving that for the cover of the STRAIGHTPIPE? :119:

Thanks.

cheers

The best part is that sorting by car number in addition to race group only adds about 24 hours to the sort time (which would be about 5 minutes if only doing it by group...)

Dave, et al.

The rollover pics should be up... And they may just end up on the cover of the straightpipe... I know the editor.

Well, it appears that even though my uploading software said that all the photos were sent, apparently a few thousand were not. I'm working on correcting this right now, more photos to be posted by this weekend.

I still have an issue with the deer running by my racecar after the checker. I don't know how Gregg didn't hit that. With the way his year seems to be going, his luck would be that AFTER all the racing is done, something stupid like a deer would total my car.

Awesome pics Thomas. Thanks for not taking too many pictures of me in Kevin's car. That's one memory I want to erase ;)

I find that gallery can sometimes have that issue. I use the registry mod to publish from XP and that has never happend through that way. As far as I know smugmug does something very similar....I could be wrong its been a while.

Nice Galleries...

How many ITB cars were their??? Looks like a lot, and it looks competitive, who normally dominates down their? The class seems to be taking off this year, at Lime rock a few weeks ago I was amazed that there were 24 ITB cars and there were at least 6 lime rock “regulars” not their, and another 4 NER guys that were not racing… Imagine if we got everyone together in one race!!!!

Also who is driving the 04 Audi in ITB? Was it sold??? or is it still for sale?

It is likely that you will see a couple RST Performance Racing Audi's arriving a bit faster than before and ready to win!!! So I hope that a few of these ITB guys from the MARRS series (or summit) come up for the challenge!!!

The 04 ITB Audi is owned by Mark and Doug Chaplin from Pennsylvannia. Their dad, Herb was driving it this past weekend.

The ITB group in the MARRS series is a fast, fun, very competitive group. Some of the always there frontrunners are:
Charlie Broring Volvo 142 last years series champion and former champion
Bill Radford BMW 2002 former champion
Matti Vilkilla BMW 2002
John Weaver BMW 2002
Patrick Pegues (sp?) Alfa
Tim Meyer VW Golf
Guy Frank VW Rabbit GTI
Scott Holman Plymouth Arrow

This group this year is averaging about 20 cars every race. In the past years it was in the high twenties to low thirties.

I got to know most of these guys pretty well when I was running my Golf in ITB and was serving as their driver's representative to the DC Region competition committee.
They race hard and give no quarter.
