With SRF's again? Ugh.

Ehhh, maybe. It'll probably be a "It's Tuesday before the event and the weather looks good/bad." kind of thing.

Pussy.
:D
I mean - you're just a big, fuzzy, lovable pussycat!!
:smilie_pokal:
Get within three seconds of my record, and maybe then I'll start feeling the pressure to come and defend it.:eclipsee_steering:

The thing is, I'm going to try and do the VIR double the following weekend, so I don't want to bang/blow anything up and have only four'ish days to fix it. I've been trying to get to VIR for about four years now, and I'm doing it this year, damnit! :D But if it looks nice and sunny out that weekend, I might say screw it, and come do it anyways.

Shawn ITC and I ITA will be there. I think Dave Brown might come out as well SM/ITA. We should be bringing a new racer Dan Hardison running SSC. My brother might come with the Ford SSC - if I can talk him into it... Maybe this year I can go a little faster and not hit anything! High hopes I know, but you got to shoot for something (besides another wall). :eclipsee_steering:

Just make sure to bring some beer for me to "borrow"...
:birra:

Steve....... I thought you knew me by now. The FIRST item to pack for a race weekend is Beer. I usually have a cooler full of it. I do bring a small bag of chips to eat for the weekend, so its not like I only bring Beer... :D Heck, I've left things like my license, logbook, tools. But I've never left the Beer. There will be plenty for you to "borrow". Looking forward to having a few with you!!!

As Matt said, I should be there. Unless that 12% thing comes into play and I only have one arm. I may be slow, but I'll be present. I may even be close to weight if I can borrow a couple arms to help me remove a few extras from my car. Like the AC. Better not be 90's that weekend.

Does anyone know if there will be tire support at the track that weekend?

Russell,
They have always traditionally been there, but I cannot guarantee 100% that they will be - we have not been notified yet and usually are not until just a few days before the event.
Steve

Indy is in the Eastern time zone and observes daylight savings time when it applies.

I bet those orange honda's could set a new track record this year.....

Nah, I doubt that. If I come, it'll just be a shakedown to make sure everything's working ok. Trying to race again the following weekend, so I'd hate to bang something up.

Why do I feel like I use to gain an hour when driving out there? I might be losing my mind. I am getting kind of old now.

Well damn, if Russel's going to be there...

I ask this every year, but whatever: What time zone is Indy in right now?

Yep, thankfully we joined the 20th and possibly 21st century.
We are now EST and observe DST.
I love having the sun still up after 8:00 pm.... :happy204:

Yup, I played golf until 8 tonight. :happy204:

Is there going to be roundy-round racing I can illegally sneak into on Saturday night this year? Being that you're EST now, the sun will still be up for prime beer drinking hours.

Nope, no roundy-round. As much fun as it is to sneak in, it plays complete havoc with our schedule on Saturday afternoon. We have screamed and bitched enough about it that they have finally figured out that they cannot use other parts of the facility on the weekends we are running. Really, this is a good thing.

How about a foot race between you and Downing in the paddock? First one to have a coronary wins?
 :smilie_pokal:

Heck - who are we kidding... I'd probably crash into a wall on the warm up!

Kevin, Are you goung to show for this one or still planning to skip it for VIR?
