MkIII Alloy Wheels Please

If anyone has any 14x6 alloys off of a MkIII GTI, I'd pay money for them. I'd consider any alloys of that size off of that series of car but the best would be the ones like these...

I also need a couple of sets of dead front brake pads (also MkIII) that I can have my friction voo-doo guys reline with my secret formula pads. Recycle - it's easy to do! I'll pay shipping if they are out of town but they need to be good cores.

Kirk, I have a set of tear drops that are just keeping my parts convertible off the ground. Does that help you?

P.S. I throw away my old Kelsey Hayes caliper pads for my A1 Wabbit

Should I keep those for you?

I appreciate the thought Tim but I think we need to stick with wheels that are contemporary to the car. There is also the little issue of shipping aged teardrops across the country: My grandad used to talk about "putting a $500 saddle on a $50 horse..."

Another thing w/ teardrops is that they are probably the worst 14" wheels that VW ever offered. They're very heavy, and are horrible for brake cooling. Not to mention that they're pretty soft. Fine wheels for a street car, but not very good for a race car.

Kirk,

Is there something in the SSS that requires 'period' wheels?
