I don't mean like "horsepower" - I mean the power of knowledge.
I just set up a laptop with VAG COM and an interface from www.cartechsolutions.com and it took me about 5 minutes to decide that it was worth all of the $175 that it cost for the hardware and fully licensed version of the software.
Of course, about the time I got all of the suspension and brakes done, my new ride threw a check engine code: Turns out my vehicle speed sensor is "implausible" and you cannot believe the warm fuzzy feeling it gives me to be able to diagnose my own stupid problem.
