My panhard bar snapped in two at Lime Rock today!

I started my turn in at Big Bend...and BAM! The panhard bar snapped in two. Off into the dirt I went (without any contact luckily!) Is this a fairly common failure?

Thanks!

Ben,
Was that when I was on the inside of you? I saw you lose it a bit.

In the yellow Honda? Not sure. I was locking up the right front EVERY time I hit the brakes for turn 1...spent a lot of time trying to collect my line there! It happened at about 3/4 of the way through the enduro. I started my turn in, and heard BANG!!! The panhard snapped and I had a BIG spin and went off into the kitty litter. Kept it going and limped back to the pits with the panhard dragging. I think I was battling with a white Miata at the time.

Did the bar itself snap or the brace? I've had the brace bend on my G-Force bar, but I don't think that it was the original tubing supplied with the kit.

Homemade bar or ??????

The bar itself snapped in two pieces and they were dragging on the ground! It was a replica of a ground control bar that I had a fabrication shop make. Apparantly the shop sucks!

Where did the bar snap? In the middle of the tubing? Near one of the rod ends?
Pictures?
Been off track lately?
What tubing size/wall thickness did you use?
