need 5th gen Prelude body parts

Changing classes and getting back to racing a Honda! I just purchased a '97 SSB Prelude that needs a lot of body work, does anyone have a salvage yard they can recommend to buy parts? Are there any that specialize in Honda salvage?

Thanks

Here's a list of online places from another Honda board. I can't vouch for any of them since I've never used them, but each one was recommended by somebody

On an unrelated note - I'm a Prelude owner as well (not a race car driver though, just autocross. I came on here to find out about sway bar fabricators from the guys who know.) Good luck!

I use Neuspeed on my 5th gen. The other 2 I can think of are Progress and Suspension Techniques. I might note that the Neuspeed 25mm rear bar works very well for me on tracks like Pocono and The Glen. Ran the car at BeaveRun and it was fine there too. The overall setup is more street than track. Just my 2 cents.
To be on-topic give Hemminger a call. 1-877-304-0255. They are located near Jennerstown Speedway in PA. Ask for Goody and he will do a search for you. The yard is a member of the locator network and they do ship (I think). The other yards in Western PA do not generally see 5th or even 4th gen Preludes-but it is always worth a shot.

another Prelude racer!!
I would check out www.preludeonline.com in the for sale forum. There are tons of kids that replace their Prelude's hoods, fenders, bumpers, etc. with aftermarket parts and you can buy really good stuff off them for cheap. I have already bought a fender, two rear bumpers, front bumper and a hood in preparation of contact and I have not spent over $50 on a single item yet. Hopefully I won't have to use any of it for a while....

So what year and what color is it? Are you going to be racing it in SSB or ITS? Here is my ITS Prelude..

wow, your car looks great.
Mine is also black, a '97 base model that runs in SSB. It's a little worse for wear as it is a seasoned car. Paint is faded, body work is wrinkled from car to car contacts. A little TLC should get it looking good again.
Thank you everyone for the parts leads.

I'm looking for an adjustable 28mm bar. The Progress bar comes close, but I'd rather not have the endlink adjustment welded on top of the bar like theirs is, plus there was a pretty big gap between the bar and the fuel tank in the pictures I saw of it. Looks like I'll have to make my own, and find someone to make me stiffer L brackets.
Mind if I ask, are you running much stiffer springs than stock?
(sorry for the thread hijacking)

guys,
do not know if this will come up, I am looking at buying a ITS Prelude. Want to know how competitive you are in ITS, is the car hard to maintain, is there much wrenching after each session ect. I do know if you are looking at sway bars you might want to look up OPM motorsports in Georgia, I think he makes or knows where you can get a good sway bar and other stuff.
