Well we're back. What happened?

Network Solutions, the holder of our domain name registration removed the name from the root DNS servers last week. Even though the name had been renewed.

The sad thing is that even though this was their mistake, they had no intention of expiditing this change and it had to wait 2 days for the billing department to figure out why they never posted the succesful credit card transaction to their records.

We appologize for the downtime but it was out of our hands.

DUMP NETWORK SOLUTIONS!!!

You want someone with good customer service (not netsol), good value, (not netsol), responsive (not netsol), and interested in their customer's concerns (not netsol). Plus, you want someone that gives you a user-friendly web-based interface to edit and update your DNS entries and settings (not netsol).

My favorite: EasyDNS, http://www.easydns.com

hey...I'm just glad it wasn't something I did!

Seriously, thanks for more input from the mysterious man behind the curtian, our webmaster. In the past, it's been "mums the word" from the head guy. nice to see him adding to different threads.

So, thanks for the explanation, and thanks for hosting our little corner of the internet.

BTW, Greg A is some kind of computer geek network admin guy, so he's likely to be a little opinionated!
