For those interested the new IT.com PHPBB forum is up and running and is also "wrapped" by a Portal Mod known as IntegraMod.

75% of the content is there and configured.
25% of the content is still to be developed and configured. But this should be sorted out before too long.
The major hurdle will be migrating the thousands of existing forum messages over to the new system. Since we're going from a CGI application which store messages in it's own file structure to a new PHP based forum with a MySQL backend this is going to be quite a challenge.
Searches have come up empty on how to migrate UBB Version 5.47d to any version of PHPBB. I may an updater from a later version of UBB but odds are it will not work. If anyone out there has any insight into this I'm all ears.
As a last resort I will try to create some method of allowing the existing forums to be viewed while new messages are entered into the newest forums.
