Nitto drag tires

Not personally, but a friend did use them for a season of autocross on a CRX. Worked fine, just required lots of pressure to stop rolling over. That soft sidewall might be an issue at the track where the speeds are higher, but not sure.

Why in the world would you want to use a tire designed for drag racing in an Auto-X or Road Racing application?

The reason forthe question was Nitto now makes a road race version but only in 17" & 18"sizes. The Nitto is a dot tire and not a normal wrinkle side wall drag tire. At least the price was right. I run Toyo's and think there great.

Even though the Nitto is a DOT approved tire it still has a much weaker sidewall construction than a street tire much less a DOT approved road race/autocross tire. Not a good thing to run on the street on a normal basis much less at the track.
