this is probably a bad question given the quaife ad at the top of the page, but does any one run a peliquin diff or have talked to any one who has. Here in
Canada i can buy one far cheaper than a quaife just wondering the pros and cons
 
Actually Peloquin makes a TBD that is very similar to the Quaife. As far as I know it's made in the US and the folks that I know who have used them (all on the street, though) are very happy. It looks like BSI is listed as an installer on the site, so they may be able to give a comparison.

The Peloquin is another diff that we sell. It is a excellent part. They are cheaper which is nice. Quaife just has "the name" people want.

However if you are buying this for a race car you really want to get a Mechanical Limited Slip as they are better suited for road racing than a torque biasing diff.

They are rare for VWs. But we have them.

no offence to the ads just a joke i see you diff is 849 usd any canadien dealers so i can get accurat price up here. Tried welded diff works ok but the norm in my local area is a quaife, or thats what the boys at vantage volks swear by. Any more info would be great thanks .

I currently run a Peloquin in my 020 16V Golf (disclamer: it is not a SCCA IT car it is a Confrence E Production but very similar to IT specs)I have also run a Quaife. I like the Peloquin better than the Quaife. Gary Peloquin has told me that the ramp angles on the gears are steeper than that that on the Quaife giving more bias than the Quaife. He also does more in the way of heat treating and cryo treating than the Quaife. IMO the Peloquin is the better of the two diffs and I recomend it for the price. Now is the VWMS diff better than a T/B Diff? I would have to say yes, but have never driven one so I am no one to ask for the advise there. Sonething to think about with the Peloquin, it comes with a bolt kit installed ($55) and diff bearings ($50) installed and is shipped, well in the 48 states, for that price, the Quaife, all that is extra.

How does the weight of the Peloquin compare to the Quaife (020)?

Also, I seem to recall mention that there is a discussion on your website of the various pros and cons, but it didn't jump out at me just now. Can you post a link?
