Photos

George,
The pictures are fantastic!!! Sure makes me wish even more that we could have made it. And it looked so warm!!!! It's in the teens tonight here! BRRR. Time for ice racing soon.
BTW, did anyone get a picture of the field coming to start finish for the start of the ITB/ITC race? I'd like to get a copy for my office if anyone has one. Thanks.

The weather was amazing, chilly in the morning but only 1 sweatshirt over my whites was necessary. At about 9-9:30 it could come off. Towards the end of the day it had to go back on again but I was not complaining. I can only think somehow we'll pay for the wondeful weather during Petit and the ARRC next year.

Nice pics, George!

I'm not seeing any love for my car though.

Yea, I guess there wasn't enough time to snap another pic of me between the leaders and you guys back there.

Just kidding - nice meeting you, Ray!

What car would that be? You don't include your name and I don't associate a name with the alias. I may have a photo or photos of your car and just haven't put them up yet.

Nice shots George!!! Good thing I didn't borrow the quick release... you would have been their all night. After the Enduro I parked it on the side of the track because I had no brakes to stop in pit lane (big hill!!!). I waited for a tow for about 45 minutes... I must say though it was the best wait I have ever had. The track employees at Road Atlanta are probably the best I have ever chated with. Also the corner workers at Road Atlanta were wonderful as well. So many of them stoped on the way back to the pits and said hi, chated for a bit and told me I better come back next year.

Thanks for the shots and memories!!!

Our pictures have been converted to disk format from what I understand and will be available possably as early as tomorrow... I will let you know once they are!!!

That was about 2 seconds before the red/blue miata spun and the red miata punted me into the pea gravel. Yep, I'm the Black/Red Civic between the 2 of them.

Any other pics of the #21 ITC car?

And that's our red/blue Miata with my partner at the wheel. Sorry for messing your race.

We were able to do a pit lane alignment and go on to finish pretty much were we started, so all was not lost for us.

That would have been fine by me. I'm really sorry I didn't think about loaning you one the night before while you weren't thrashing. It really helps with driver changes.

It was good meeting you both. I look forward to next year.

I've actually got a photo of the two of them together in the kitty litter.

I'll look for more photos of your car. I think I may have some, but I'm not sure if they are in sharp focus.

[edit] Oh, and I gave the driver of the red Miata a ride back to the paddock. Once I got all the openning photos I wanted I figured I'd offer. Long walk back from there and a long time to sit at the corner station. Nice young man.

Ony, I kept meaning to come down and introduce myself. Kept getting sidetracked. I apologize for not getting down to meet you.

Andy B.,
Thats Tom Bolenbaugh's 510. Its a beautiful car and I doubt he'd part with it. He actually works for Nissan and built it himself. It's very quick and so is he. We've had some great races together.

Geo,
I'd love to see some of those pictures when you get a chance. You have some really good stuff.

Ony,
Your spin wasn't what got me. I identified it pretty early as your partner put his right rear tire up on the curb and locked it up under braking. I knew the spin was coming (and if you look closely at Geo's photo you can see the ATS car is already countersteering). I got checked up and had plenty of room to go around on the wide curbing driver's right, but the car behind me either didn't see the spin or didn't have time to react because he smacked me pretty hard, sending me bouncing off into the gravel.

What a fun race. Thats whats so great about long enduros. You can have some issues and still come out well in the end if you keep working at it.

Scott, already looking forward to ARRC 2005.

George - I was in the bright orange #73 ITA Integra. I was running around in the race somewhere in the 5th to 7th area.

Scott and Kevin, I'm afraid I don't have any photos. I was sure I did. I did delete some photos that didn't turn out for one reason or another (half in the frame or very fuzzy). They may have been among them. I'm sorry.

Jake, I am getting old. I was probably twice as old as that young man. Funny that I got carded at dinner.
