Pro IT question

I was looking at the Pocono supps.

Why is Pro IT in its own rungroup? Why not just let the cars run in the normal NARRC groups and just give PRO IT points?

From what I understand the reasons for starting the PRO IT series is to provide more track time and a more visible series for the IT run groups and SM. We represent the majority of participants and I think its geat to have this new series. Its also a longer race than the NARRC sprints hence the greater price and has payout every race and end of year.

I would rather have this run group available to the majority of active participants rather than have the time distributed amongst a bunch of undersubscribed groups.

should be a great series
