Proportioning Valve Threads

I am going to be getting a proportioning valve for my Rabbit.

I noticed that most of the major companies(Wilwood, SSB and others) all make their valves with 1/8"NPT threads but our brake lines are M10 x 1. Except Tilton but theirs is also th

Did you guys just find an adapter somewhere that goes from 1/8 NPT to M10 X 1?

You can use a 1/8 pipe thread to -3 AN adapter and a tube nut and tube sleeve with a flare on the steel brake line. Look at photo 75 in the gallery from the link under my signature.

I saw that one earlier but I was wanting to go with the knob style.

Did you basically just make new lines and have the metric thread on one end to go into the MC and Rear soft lines and then use the AN to NPT adapter as you mentioned on the other end?

Yes, that's it. The metric lines use the same 3/16 tube as SAE, just the fittings are different. You still have to make a single flare on the tubing after you slip the tube sleeve and nut over it.
 
As tempting as it is, NEVER put 1/8" NPT into 10mm stuff. There are plenty of 1/8" NPT and 10mmX1.0 to -3AN adapters out there that make it easy. -3AN is a safe common ground.
 
I agree with John...I can adjust my bias without looking,...the lever style clicks in a very easy to discern manner.
