Quick question: oil pressure reg

i was installing a high pressure oil reg today, and when i unscrewed the front reg cap to shim the spring, only the spring came out with the cap. after rolling out from under the car i heard soming hit the ground- a small metal sleeve type thing that looks like a small socket. i could only deduce that this little piece of metal fit over the top of the spring- it fits perfectly. i just need to confirm this, better safe than sorry.

yep you got it. The socket thingy goes in first (flat end first), then the spring, then the plug...
