This is the time of year when we begin planning for next season and, since we always get such good feedback from IT.comers, we have a question for you on pricing. Don't get excited about any discounts on the $295 Link model; we're talking the other end of the spectrum.
Here's the question: How much is too much to pay for a head and neck restraint, assuming you have unlimited means and only want the best? At what point would Mr. Rich say, "Sorry, it's just too much."? We know that the IT crowd is notorious as a bunch of penny-pinching skinflints
, but we ask you to drop the gasp factor and give it your best shot.
The question is prompted by an aggressive redesign of the Titanium Isaac. ("Aggressive" is a gearhead code word for who-cares-what-it-costs.) It is not a four-shock design and the shocks do not utilize computer controlled MR fluid, but it is otherwise a pedal-to-the-metal effort to optimize performance and strength while minimizing size and mass. The "Holy cow!" factor will be very high.
(It will be certified by Sir Isaac Newton, and no one else.)
Just thought we'd throw it out there.
