I was wondering if someone could tell me where a guy can get the best price on tires. I have a son that is getting ready to start racing ITA with a sentra and Looking for some tires any suggestions? I just bought some hoosiers and I dont think he needs to run them to learn on. Thanks for any input. Jeff

Jeff it is good to learn on decent tires to start. The Toyo RA1 is a good tire that will last and last while maybe a bit off the pace compared to a hoosier or GY they will extend your budget. Not know where you are located I don't know where to tell you to find them.

Tirerack.com has great prices on a selection of race tires.

Kirk, Don't you know someone with good prices and great service?

Why, yes - I do.

I was a little surprised to discover that I could order RA-1s from www.philstireservice.com and pay less *shipped* than I could sorce them locally for. Phil does not shave them, however, if that matters to you.

Disclaimer - We have a collaborative arrangement with him now but I was a very satisified customer of Phil's before we got to that point...

Hi Jeff,

It was a pleasure meeting and talking with you both last weekend.

I wish I knew y'all were looking for tires. If he still has 14" wheels I'll cut you a hell of a deal on some shaved Toyos. I bought them just over a year ago. I never got around to using them and now our Sentra is being converted to EP. They are still banded as shipped from Vilven Tire.

Send me an e-mail at: [email protected].

I'll make you a good deal.
