Group 1 (ITA,IT7,ITC) just finished their morning session- not much trouble some spin offs ,an exhaust
problem and 1 rope tow in (#61 Bill Stevens). Group 2 (ITS,ITB) is out now, car #45 slowing in the back
stright- but made it to pit lane.Car 50 just hit tire wall at 15 driver's left- he did make it to pit lane..
Group 3 (SM) are lining up on the false grid , a big group!
The WEATHER IS FANTASTIC!!! Not a cloud is in the sky- expected high of 82-84

Group 5 (SRF) is on track now- no problems yet.

Back to Group 3 morning session: (39 cars)
Car #2 late start off false grid. Car #61black light contact with wall driver's right-exit turn 8
he continued. Car #78 blue flat tire or lost wheel LF- towed in with wrecker,turn 3 area.
Car #68blue had a moment at turn 14 area and drove away.
Car #34white was t-boned by 71blue at turn 3 - both continued with damage to 34's driver's
side. Some more spin offs but no walk home problems.

Group 4 (ITE,ITR,TCC)
This session should be called "The Blue Mist Group"
The following Corvettes were smoking:
Cars # 94maroon #11blue #38black #58blue
Car #7 yellow spun off driver's left between 14 & 15 and continued

SRF's just finished and the false grid called 5 minute warning for the first race of the day for
Group 1
SRF # 80 white was "meatballed" for a fuel smell and came to the pits for an inspection.
No other problems for their session.

It was mentioned that car 50 in ITB hit the tire wall. Was that one of the Blethen's or did they have to have different numbers out there? I am psyched that Raymond and Stephen Blethen are nose to tail on grid for the race. Should be an interesting start. They love to start side by each or nose to tail. Keep us posted. Yes, nervous mother syndrome. Should have flown out there....but as it turns out, I'm on crutches...bone spur....no, my kids don't know that. Say hi to them for me.
 
Sorry,since the races started I been a little busy!
Race 1 38 cars #84red late to false grid-was held at pit out until start of race.
Pace car lap-NO START/WAVE OFF. Car #71black reported to have gas cap door flapping.
Next lap-Green Flag. Car#83red into China Beach-right field 10ft.Car #79white backed into
the wall-exit of 8 drivers right-limped around station 9 to a safe posistion.Safety 1 pulled 83red
out of china,he continued. Car#07white dumping center rear
Lap 12 leader Car#36red.
Car#14red off driver's right turn 11 mechanical
Cars 27sil & 01 blue side to side contact at turn 15-16 area- continued.
Car #59 was reported to have broken exhaust dragging.
