OK what do we use to check the Throttle Position sensor. Service manual shows a dual lamp deal that plugs in but the Mazda Comp catalog is a "no part found" Looks like something to light houses on Model train layout  Thanks TW :eclipsee_steering:

Hook your multi meter to the green and the black leads of the TPS with it unpluged from the harness. Turn adjustment srew till it reads 1 Ohm. Much better then the light method.

The factory tool is two light bulbs. Works for them.

I've never used one anyway. Always work out the idle by ear. Idle is the only thing the TPS is going to effect anyway. If you're looking for any kind of IT relavent performance gain from the TPS you're looking in the wrong corner.

:birra: yep pretty bad I'm telling my crew what to do while I'm on vacation! must be why they call me arrive and drive :P thx guys!

Not really, the TPS on the S5 cars is a full range sensor. This will affect drivability thru the whole range. Mazda sells them for about $30 if I remember right.
