tires

Welcome to NER and ITS!

We think the Goodyear is the best tire right now. All depends on your budget however. How many heat cycles can you 'afford' to get out of a set?

like andy said, how fast do you want to go?

faster = more expensive and don't last very long.
i suggest toyo's for first year. consistent and last a bunch of heat cycles.

thanks guys,...i'll check into the toyos since the word "afford" will be a big deal this year.

BTW Andy, I'm just another NER/BMWCCA autocrosser making the jump

I wholly encourage any new driver to buy Toyos for their first year. You'll have a buttload more time to be made in driver improvement than what you'll get with tires, and with Toyos you don't have to pay high prices for simple mistakes (the stickier tires tend to flat-spot when you spin).

Welcome aboard, we'll see you out there! - GA
