Well irene packed a punch. Now Lee has raised hell The Suesquehanna River from North of Binghampton Ny to Harrisburg has record flooding. NY 17/86 From Binghamton To Waverly NY is closed and will probably be closed for extended Time as even when water goes down there are 19 bridges to be inspected! Rte 81 North of Binghamton is closed and 88 from albany to Binghamton is also shut down in places. I guess the best bet from New England would be NY State Thruway to Geneva and then South to WGI. The town my office is in has been flooded(My office is ok no problems) Sadly at one time I had 50-60 flood policies in effect for people. There were many improvents to Flood protection so over the past years it has dwindled to 13. I suspect that the Fun One will be a scratch for us as our car is In Allentown and shop was without power from Irene for 7 days. At this point not sure what to route to use to get it. Bill being in Maryland and travel North may be difficult does not look promising. I hope our New England friends are progressing on recovery.

If you're coming from the south, or east, or southest, or east-southeast, or south-southeast (sorry...I was a scout...still remember all my compass points), there are a bunch of highway closings due to recent storms and flooding.

Closings on Rt. 17/86, from Binghamton to Waverly NY.

Rt. 81 closed in a bunch of places, from north of Harrisburg PA to north of Binghamton.

Rt. 88 from Albany to Binghamton...closed in a bunch of places.

Etc. etc. etc.

Yeah...I saw Tom's post and figured it's a pretty good idea to post similar stuff for the worlds I'm familiar with - SRF and SM.
