I agree. The 240Z is an icon IMHO. Glad I own one!Originally posted by Andy Bettencourt@Nov 1 2005, 07:19 PM
I have to say, for me - there is nothing cooler than a race-prepped 240Z.
Freakin' AWESOME!

Jeff I actually have a couple of pics of the TR8 on track I'll try to post soon. I met you over at David Spillman's trailer.Originally posted by JeffYoung@Nov 1 2005, 09:09 PM
Nice pics. I agree about the Zs, that camber and stance looks mean. The Parrishs' 57 Z and Rick's white and blue Z are beautiful cars. David's red Z has some battle cars, but it looks mean as well. A good group those guys, all great guys.

No problem Steve. Nice to see the 240Z still competitive even after 35 years! I am the guy you met at Charlotte and over at David's 240Z. Let me know if you want a CD with the high res. versions of the pics. You & Carl battled very hard but I never saw you guys hit. That's a credit to both of you. See ya soon. I'll be at the ARRC with David.Originally posted by Parrish57@Nov 2 2005, 02:10 PM
Thanks for posting the GREAT pix! Carl and I had a great battle on our hands. He and I were tied for second going into the race so it was out of our hands for the championship. All Rick needed to do was finish 4th or better to tie. He won the tiebreak with Carl because he had more wins. Congratulations to Rick!
The race itself was one of the hardest drives I've ever put in. Carl and I traded the lead several times. I could get by him on the corners but he could always get me back on the straights. He did a great job of picking the traffic, too. I had to drive pretty aggressive to get by some of the cars. When Carl pitted I put in my 2 best lap times of the race (I went to mylaps.com to check it out). After my pit stop I had a comfortable lead with only 8 minutes left. The fuel filter issue was a recurring problem so I've got some work to do over the winter.
I'd like to say sorry to the white Miata, whoever you are, that I punted going into Oak Tree. I thought he saw me coming but maybe not as we ran out of room. I feel bad and that's only the second time I've ever punted someone off of the track.
Manny... I got the Circle wheels from a guy in California. I think you can get them more locally. Try Stan Lizauskas at SDJ Motorsports in Mooresville. 704-664-5435.
Also, Mike VanSteeburg at ISC is a dealer. He's out of Florida but usually comes to SEDIV races. iscracing.net
Thanks to everyone for a great weekend!
