Wheels choices and clearances

I'm looking to buy a new set of wheels. I have my eye on the Team Dynamics 14x7 for a 225 series tire. Are there any clearance issues associated with a 225 with stock offset?

Also, how much of a decrease in performance can be seen going with a 15" wheel, assuming the same width tire? I've worked the math out but I'd like to get some real world input. The only real reason to go with 15" would be tire choices in the future.

Assuming you're talking about a Civic/CRX here...

The Team Dynamics 14x7 was specifically speced for that car by OPM Motorsports. Its a perfect fit with a 225/50/14 Hoosier. Lots of guys are running that wheel/tire combination in the S.E.

The 225/45/15 tire is a little wider than the 225/50/14 and I know of a couple of guys who are having clearance issues in the rear. To run this you are (apparently) going to need about a 35mm offset to clear the rear trailing arms and very aggressively rolled fenders.

The 225/45/15s do however appear to fit relatively hassle free on the ITA and ITS Integras.

Hope that answers the question.

Yes, they will be going on a CRX, sorry. Their price seems to good to be true for an 11.5 pound wheel. I'm going to be pairing them with the V710's.

It is not as strait forward on the Integras, we have to heat and hammer on the rear trailing arms to get the clearance for the 45s.

I have a set of the TD 14x7's on my ITA Integra with 225/50's and they have no problem.

I run the Team Dynamic 14X7 wheels and have no clearance issues with the toyos(225 50 14), but they do rub slightly with hoosiers...not enough to create drag or wear the tire, just enough to polish the trailing arm.
