Couldn't win the NARRCoffs, too many better itc drivers :smilie_pokal: Congrats Tim :smilie_pokal: , but I can take the lead in number of different tracks I've driven ;) . At least the topic will give folks something to chat about this winter and may give us a source to call upon if we're thinking about trying a different track.

So here goes :)
1. School and first race at Bryar Motorsports Park (where NHIS is now)
2. Limerock Park
3. Pocono
4. NHIS
5. Bridgehampton, fun! unforgiving!
6. Nelson Ledges
7. Moroso
8. Watkins Glen
9. Summit Point
10. VIR

Wow !! Greg, you stirred up some old memories :happy204: Greater southwest airport was where I saw my first autocross(in 1981...looooong straights....I lived in the DFW area for 23 years,,,I still visit there at least twice a year(family and friends there) It is mostly industrial and some housing...It's real close to DFW airport. And I thought I was old :023:

Ouch that hurt... <grin>

You can apparently still see remants of GSW from the sky. Here's some aerial photos from 1995; you can just catch GSW remnants south of the DFW's N/S runways. You can see the N/S runway that's a road now and you can still see shadows of the NW/SE runway, which was still there back then.

For those interested, GSW was an airport that was closed when DFW was opened in 1974. GWS wasn't immediately destroyed (why bother?). I remember it being out in the middle of freakin nowhere back in the 80's and a super place to play; no doubt suburban sprawl has taken over by now. I wouldn't be surprised if today it's either a boulevard or gone...

Not too many for me:

Road Atlanta
Roebling
Kershaw
Nurburgring
Zolder
Monaco (but not in anger)

Got to Hockenheim too late for touring laps, but did definitely enjoy the beer :P Chuck

I'll give this topic a shot! I thought about putting these in "best to worst" order but that would've been way too hard - so in no particular order:
Mid Ohio
Nelson Ledges
Indy Race Park
Putnam Park
Gingerman Raceway
Grattan Raceway
Road America
Blackhawk Farms
BeaveRun
Watkins Glen (long & short)
Road Atlanta

Not bad for only 5 seasons, I suppose. Too bad I've only added one new track in the last two years though. I really want to do VIR, Barber, Mosport, and Lime Rock. I've been trying to get to Lime Rock and/or VIR for the last two seasons now but for whatever reason, I haven't been abe too.

Ah, Chris: a man with my own visions of the past! Yep, I did Green Valley (check my list above) but I missed out on DIS. Heard a lot of things about it (mostly the "old timers" talking <grin>). Where was it? For that matter, do you remember where Green Valley was?

I swore I'd never be one of those old timers talking about the glorious past, but these kids today... - GA
