Would you race in it?

Kinda quiet around here this week. I'm on record as saying that HC is enough of an influence that, if it is running where I end up in my next position, my next IT car will be a Honda product.

Having said that, one of the few places on our list NOT to move to, is California. Sorry!

You mean that state that takes perfectly good racetracks and bulldozes them into subdivisions?

Im very intrested and i know Several other people are. When you bring the challenge people will come pouring in to race. So dont hold up , There are lots of Honda racers in California that would Race in the honda challenge.

I would consider it. I'll hopefully pick up a race car this winter (which likely won't be a H/A product), but would consider it for future years. I guess it depends on how likely it is to get up here to the NW, where we seem to be the last folks to get that sort of thing.

It might not be feasible to have NW events in the first year because of the need to grow the series first. The NW will not be neglected. There are long term plans....

Wow, I actually know someone here. Hi John (you probably know me as Black96Cobra).

Hey Craig. I don't check here every day, but I'm here. More of a reader than a poster. When are you dumping that Ford and getting a Honda racecar? We need more Honda product racing around here, especially Civics.

I'll probably pull the bar and stuff out of the Mustang and use it for a daily driver. I've put too much money and work into it to sell it at this point. There is a lot of turd-polishing that has to happen to make a Mustang handle well.

I wish there was a WCHC right now, it would help me make a decision about which car to get. At this point it's all still up in the air, but Pro7 looks good, as does ITA with maybe a 1st Gen Integra. Half my problem is finding a car that I can fit comfortably into.

Are you roadracing the Civic now?

I'm basically done with the car, at least the major stuff. I took the Conference school last month and basically ran out of time this year to run my first race.

Greg, Mike and a few others are working on getting a "WCHC" race together next summer. Things are still in the primitive stages, but it'll happen. That leaves you with plenty of time to find a Honda or Acura.

Check the classifieds on this site. There's a lot of ready-to-run cars for sale.

I'll probably end up taking the Conference class in the Mustang, I think there is one in March? IIRC, for the school you don't need a "real" race car just something to run on the track. Then there are the Novice races to tackle.

Hopefully by then I'll have a car either bought ready to run, or in work. I could probably rent something too, at least for the first couple Novice races.

First choice is to get a car that's done, but since this is a new class that may be hard to do. We'll see how it goes this winter I guess.

What would you run in? H4?

Cool, that's probably where I'm headed too. I think I'd like to run either a 1st Gen Integra or a Civic hatch (late 80's/early 90s? I'm not too down with the years on the Civics so that's a guess).
