How much crankcase oil is typicall in a 1st gen with the larger '84 & up oil cooler?

Also, if the Tokico installation instructions boldly state not to use an impact wrench on the strut top nut but the shaft spins when you try to tighten it and you can't get a wrench on the flats on the shaft up in the camber plates how the heck are you supposed to torque it?

TIA

Tom,
It has been a while. For oil I believe it is between 4 and 5 quarts. I may be low.
To tighten the top nut on Tokico struts, I used a small set of vice grips with with the slightly rounded clamps. I cut a small piece of the rubber liner that is used in pools and garden ponds. Between the liner and the vice grips I was able to stop the shaft from spinning and torque the nut. Since I use adjustable camber plates, I did this procedure with the assembly outside of the car.

All the best.

Tom- I welded a bar to a socket (19mm I think), and dropped a 6mm hex wrench down through the socket into the shock. Voila......it's down to righty-tighty at that point
