I was posting an opinion about something just now and it occurred to me that some of you (most, probably) don't know that I'm now on the ITAC.

I'm going to do my very best to adhere to the high standard set by other ITAC members re: using tools like it.com to plumb the mood of IT racers, while not creating difficulties for the committee or board with my online ranting.

You might be very surprised how actually being involved in the process in an official capacity shuts down the normal function of one's motorsport militancy gland.

 <-- Kirk running his thoughts through the responsibility filter

Anyway, please remember that my postings here represent my personal feelings/opinions as Joe Racer, rather than the position of the ITAC. Official communications of ITAC go to the board and are then reflected in decisions disseminated through official SCCA pubs, particularly FasTrack.

That would be the same for me. I do not officially or otherwise speak for any organization. All opinions are my own.

Lord, please save us, all...
I don't think even He can help us now Greg.

So, does this mean we are now entering the "Just say no" era? :D

But seriously, congrats Kirk, I know you'll do a great job.

You have become a busy man. RSI and ITAC? What's next? BoD? Maybe MIA? :p

Remind me not to drink while I am reading threads. Diet Dr. Pepper really burns as it passes through your nasal cavaties.

***How about a list of who is on the ITAC....***

Jim, I thought it would be a simple deal to do an SCCA search for the ITAC. Oh no, this is the Secret Car Club of America. The groups in the past were all open to view. No the genius of the SCCA website has implemented a secret system so that everyone needs to log in to get the ITAC names. :mad1:

Hey K. this change is recent did you have something to do with the change.;)

The Board of Directors is out in the open for all to see but the other groups are secret & one SHALL log in. I can only imagine what one is required to swear to when taking a place with one of the groups.

:(Even more thrilling. I try to log in, and the stated initial username password don't work (should be your member numbe and your zip code). I wonder if I have previously logged in and forgotten, so I go through the lost password procedure, and am told to check my email.

Talk about secret car club. Even members can't get in.

Kirk, I immediately demand an allowance for larger brakes on my car, drop 200 lbs, plus add a stripper carrying sidecar.

What say the ITAC?

Filter? What's that?

Seriously, I'm glad to hear that you're on the ITAC. I think you'll be a great asset to the club and bring a metric TON of knowledge to the table. Congrats and thank you!!!

Christian

PS
I don't want any weight dropped from "my" car or a stripper sidecar but can you get weight added to everyone else's car?

Here you go David and others. You have had to log in using your member number to the SCCA site since the website changed about a year ago. No idea why they changed this. I have deleted the members of the ITAC home phone numbers and address's and E-Mail address's as it is not my place to post those on a public forum. If you want those you'll have to log in.
David,
You have my number if you need to get a hold of me.

I would also expect you as well as others members will argue a point of view not yours for the purpose of examining all sides of an issue.
