IT Piston Rules - Overbore

how many SCCA nerds on the end of a pin?
I don't know, but they sure could argue about it forever.
(valued reader: this, of course, does not apply to you.)

Looks good Kirk, the only thing I would add would be the following: ...
Let me clarify. I wasn't proposing a change. I was asking if things would be different right now, and if this conversation would be happening, if the rule had remained as [I believe] it was when IT was born.

The "exact equivalent" language was inserted as a response to some pushing of the rules, and so is not a reflection of the original intent - WHATEVER that might have been.

I had hoped to avoid it because it isn't part of the issue. Greg kind of got called out personally so, in a show of solidarity with him, I need to go on record: I am NOT going to make any claims here about what size pistons I am putting in the block that's currently at the machinist (because you will either believe me or not, based on your individual predilections) but suffice to say that (a) I made my decision AFTER this conversation began, (B) they have VW logos on them...

I hope most of you know me well enough to believe that I'd be in the thick of this conversation even if I were racing a Pinto with a wrecking yard engine.
